The One For You, One For Me series explores themes of separation and shared identity, rooted in childhood imaginings of divided families. As a child, Laura Waldusky envisioned household items split in half—halved sofas, divided sinks—and questioned how they could function. Each pair in this series originates from a single drawing, split into four pieces that form two distinct compositions. These works can exist independently or be displayed together, reflecting the interplay between individuality and connection, depending on the viewer's experience.
